Gundam 00 + Gundam Exia = Triple Drive!

This is my planned modification for my Gundam 00 kit, to replace the upper body of Gundam 00 to that of Exia's Why?

One GN Drive...

Plus Two GN Drives!!

Well, one is that the construction of the Exia Frame is quite unique with the Gundam built around the GN Drive! Next, the idea is to have a Gundam that has not only two drives but THREE! That would make this Gundam one powerful weapon! Weehaw!!

So if you guys are wondering what this baby looks like then take a look this:

Gundam Dynames - 1/100 Bandai Kit

Ok here is a surprise purchase for me. I mean 00 and Virtue had their unique reasons for being on my Gundam 00 List.

So what was the deal with Dynames you ask? Well it is quite personal - I just like the personality of the 1st Lockon Stratos - Neil Dylandy. He he he!

I was actually trying to choose between Exia and Dynames, and I was really desperate to get a Gundam Fix after finishing Virtue... argh, Gundam 00 really got me hooked! Bring out the MG's for crying out loud!!

Anyway, back to the Dynames kit... at first I felt the outer armor was a bit out of place. But after looking at the finished product, I had a change of heart.

The armor actually looks like a cape, and though the movements may be limited, it is just enough to pose Dynames in the crouching and prone position... just like in the Anime!

The legs joint is also better with that of the Exia 1/100 kit - not separating on the upper joint that connects it to the waist.

What I find difficult to understand though is the extra large butt of Dynames, lolx! This kinda limits the pose of the kit.

This kit is available at all toy stores for 1300 - 1500 pesos.

Gundam Virtue - 1/100 Bandai Kit

I can't say much about the 1/100 Gundam Virtue Bandai Kit - except for the fact that this is one unique kit.

If you want a breath of fresh air with the current kits, try your hand on Virtue, because despite of the obvious issues with it (having to dismantle the outer armor to reveal Nadleeh, hollow armor parts to accommodate Nadleeh etc.) it is still one fun kit to build.

One fun thing about this kit is the detailed armor. If you are the hobbyist who loved to ink details, then this kit will keep you busy for days. But I guess if you like the washing method, I think it would be difficult to reach some of the extra detailed parts of the huge Virtue armor.

But maybe, that's just me...

One more thing about this kit is that it's only priced at 2000 to 2300, and you get to build 2 kits, well not literally but in concept, lolx!

Anyway, just remember to keep this baby in a decent stand so as to appreciate the sheer weight of its excellence! Wakokokoko!

Oh and if you like making dioramas, then you might want to consider making a Virtue to Nadleeh transformation scene - COOL!!!!

BTW, sorry Nadleeh images are not in this post, because it is a bit of a hassle to remove the armor (but it is doable, tamad lang ako lolx) and I like the Virtue form better!

Again, for all 00 fans out there, this is a 5/5 must have!!

O Raiser - Bandai Gundam KIt Review

The O Raiser is finally out in the Philippines and I got mine a few weeks back for 1,100 pesos, care of Best Toys Greenhills.

The set kit containing the O Raiser, Gundam 00 plus a Celestial Being stand would usually cost 3,000 to 3,200 and they are now available at all toys stores in Greenhills and Alabang (R-Toys, Great Toys, Best Toys and Wasabi). If you guys can wait, I believe Toy Kingdom will get the latest 00 kits by 2ND week or 3rd week February.

Anyway, a quick review of the O Raiser reveals that once again the new build has tremendously improved from the last 1/100 HG kits from SEED.

Now this kit has a very small box with only 5 runners, but after building it you would know with its weight that this kit is no push over.

But this good build can also pose problems once we combine it with Gundam 00. The back pack is really heavy on the Gundam kit, add the side wings, then you are also side heavy.

One option here is, at least whats what we did was to add some clay in the hollow leg parts of the 00 gundam. And one good advice: keep the kit on the stand, the weight can be distributed evenly, with the proper pose.

Finally, with all the minor issues, the O Raiser, plus 00 is one must have kit! I can't wait for the MG, cough em up BANDAI!!

Look Ma - It GLOWS! Gundam 001/100 Bandai Kit

I posted about the 1/100 Bandai Gundam 00 kit last week.

Besides being a very sturdy 1/100 kit, the Gundam 00 model boasts of another significant trick up its sleeves - and that is (dundundundun) the glowing GN drives!! Tada!

I was not able to post it the last time because it was quite difficult to find the right battery size, but alas! The GN drives have been powered up after a long yet fruitful search!

And so without further adieu - here is the lighting gimmick from the Gundam 00 kit!

True to the Anime version baby! Green is the way to go!

Here is a closer look!

Now to emphasize the glow - lights out please!

And now, as we bid you farewell - let us take a look at Gundam 00 and all its splendor... from Behind! lolx!

Gundam 00/0-Raiser Please - wag Mahalan! Lolx!

After Building Gundam 00, the natural next step is to get the add on - 0 Raiser!

In the anime, the 0 Raiser helped Setsuna's Gundam to use his GN Drives to its full potential. In episode 12 of Gundam 00 Season 2 (tama ba?), Gundam 00 finally united with the 0-Raiser pushing the Dual GN drive's performance to 300%! Asteeg!

So now going back to the 1/100 Bandai kit of Gundam 00, the 0 Raiser was sold separately... naturally! Argh!

I am hoping and praying that the solo 0 Raiser kit will be sold at a reasonable price - please!!!

And the next hope is that I find the 1/100 kit of 0 Raiser ASAP! I Can't wait to finish Gundam 00's construction! Wah! Game na! Wasabi, Great toys, Best toys and Rich toys! Go go go!

Gundam 00 1/100 - 0 Raizer na lang kulang!!

Good Day guys, I'm back in building Gundam kits, this after watching Gundam 00 season 1 and episode's 1-13 of season 2.

At first I did'nt like the Mech designs of 00, but after watching, I was converted. I specifically love Exia now! And I'm also looking forward to seeing the next evolutions of the new gundams in season 2.

For now, while waiting for further advancements, I have decided to focus on 1/100 kits since MG's of 00 seem to be too far off the future (bilisan niyo Bandai!!!MG na!).

But I will admit, the new 1/100 kits are not as hollow as before. In fact some of the parts seem a bit MG'ish already, so overall, I'm quite satisfied with the Gundam 00 kit!

We had to use clay at some parts, but again, this beats the old kits at 1/100 by GN drives to solar furnace's! lolx!

Now, I sit and wait for the 0 raizer to come so I can complete this baby! Go 00 go! grrrrr! Oh and the glowing GN drives is cool, it's just difficult to find the battery though, so pardon if the pics here of 00 are "glowless," he he he!

Anyway, for all avid Gundam 00 and Bandai Gundam kit Addicts, I fully recommend this 1/100 kit - its worth every penny of it!
