First MG Gundam Paint Job!

A can of midnight blue, black and a small pot of yellow. These are the colors needed to paint an MG F 91 Gundam.

We quickly made our stop at Lils Futaba to purchase these colors and some Italian red as well for our SD Astray project.

Earlier we stopped by Best and Great Toys accompanied our friend in buying an SD and was eventually sucked into temptation to buy a cheap MG (meaning below 2k, he he he!). The best choice at 1 800 was the F 91 since it had a limited color scheme, so less paint expenses.

Sprues galore, ready to be cut up!Lolx!

We jumped in on the project as soon as we had the chance. We started painting the sprues a night before to allow some drying time.

Position it at least a foot and a half away then spray!

Painting with a spray can is fun and easy (well I guess it should be considering its price!) we however encountered a little hitch as one of the parts stuck to the newspaper, thus wrinkling the paint job. I was to be aware of the mishap a few minutes later since I was busy with the detailing of the SD sprues.

Anyway after drying out the sprues, I started the paneling job until the whee hours of the morning.

Late the next day however it was back to biz. The assembly process started. But as we started cutting the plastic parts for assembly, I noticed that the cut parts were a sight for sore eyes since it revealed the previous color of the part prior to painting (needed to buy a new and sharper kit cutter and a sakto knife).

These parts needed a repaint, but we dried out our paint cans already so we left them as is.
I also found out that this particular model didn't have rubber joints which I believed would impede its flexibility.

"Curse your plastic joints!!!Yata!!"

Another issue with plastic joints was the fact that it meant more small parts, thus longer piecing together time. However as the parts started to take its prescribed shape and appearance , I immediately appreciated its shinier finish, thanks to the paint app! I even supplemented it with a lot of paneling detail just to give justice to our first painted MG!

Almost done!NOT!

But when we were in the wing canon part, my friend snapped its lower part so we had to super glue it back together. This rendered one of the wing guns immovable though.

Very detailed back boosters!Angas!

Overall, I can say that the kit turned out be a paint app success' making it sleeker than the unpainted MG we did first. The new look also added a more detailed outcome for its backpack boosters! The paint however tightened the shield release hatch making it a chore to bring out his shield, I guess this is where sand paper plus repaint come in.

Gundman Confusion...

An open letter to Bandai:

Dear Bandai,

I owe my Gundam addiction to you guys and in turn we have been purchasing your gundams as much as we can. I have been deeply involved in collecting MG kits because of its flexibility, detail, design and prize. Its the closest to a perfect grade we can afford.

This however leads to my dilemma in which I need your help on, or any Gundam collector out there.
Its like this, I am torn between two MG's... which should I purchase next... I cant buy both as of now, so I really need to chooses between the two...

Will it be an MG Strike Noir??

Or a MG Strike Freedom??

Both are sleek and asteeg! They have their own pros and cons based on reviews so I'm absolutely torn! Waaaaaah!! Help!

Thanks, hoping for your favorable response on this matter...
Yours truly,

Transformer cum Gundam Aficionado

How about you, which is better... Choose for me please.Lolx!

Gas Release and Terrible Memories

We all have fond memories in life, but on the other side of the fence we also have memories that haunt us... teka mas mainam siguro kung tatagalugin ko na lang ito dahil mas mabibigyan ko ng katarungan ang nais kong sabihin.

Nose Picking... Carfeul where you point that Thing!

I had a terrible experience in the bus the other day...

Nope its not another SiS-tupid episode. The terror of the experience however is close to that I experience every time I watch the said program.

You wanna know what it was? Well let me just put it this way, I have always been very particular with the pipz who sit beside me in the bus. As much as possible I should be able to maximize my space and have a pleasant traveling experience.

But on this fateful morning, destiny decided to have an old guy sit beside me on the bus. Now this may not seem to be a problem as it is, so I just tried to catch some z's to prevent the horror of having to see another Sis episode... I was however brought to my senses when I caught a glimpse of the guy picking his NOSE! Waaaaaaaaaaaaah!

At first it was small poking strokes, then after a while of frustration he attacked his nostril like there was no tomorrow! I had to distance myself to prevent the booger debris from hitting me. But the guy just had the same gusto as he tried flicking the contents of his finger all over the bus floor every time he had a fresh harvest! Awts! That was just such a horrible experience, he even went on and on, stopping for 5 minute breaks, then back to picking his nose.

That guy terrorized my bus trip that day that I just wanted to alight the bus ASAP! Grrrrrrr! Anyway I just wanted to share this to you and remind you guys that if ever you find yourself in a similar situation I have devised some possible ways to fight back, take your PICK

-Get even, don't go down without a fight
-Fight fire with fire
-Defend your territory
-Give him the finger

He He he, Good Day!

Gundam seed... Too EMO!

Way cool Strike Freedom!

Just watched Gundam Seed again.
The series caught my interest again since I started collecting Gundam Plastic Models. I decided to watch the Anime to further inspire me in piecing together the Gundams I buy. It also reminds me how cool these robots are when they are in full animation and doing their thing on the battle field. Astig!

But I really have to hand it to this particular Gundam series... I was blown away by its EMO ness!

Now I liked the topic of the story, and how it evolved till the end, but I just don't want the characters you learned to bond with from the start to die in the end. Lolx! And there were just too many deaths by my standards...

Kira also had too much anguish all throughout the series that made it a heavy watch, good thing that the Gundmas were not short of action scenes to keep me waiting and wanting more Freedom, Justice, Buster and Providence!! Weeeeeeeeee!!

Anyway. I just wanted to comment on the overall EMO content of SEED, but its still a nice series with a nice set of Gundams!

Once you get past the EMO stuff, everything will be just fine!

Stress on the stress...

Whatda@#$*&#%!!!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrroooooooooooowwwwwlllll!!!

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!

If a spiritual enlightenment allows some people to speak in tongues, stress can also make you speak in a language that even scholars will be dumbfounded of.

Just like the above examples, these words are not part of our average everyday language, but oftentimes uttered under very stressful circumstances.
I know some of you guys, at least once in your life (everyday of the weekday for me) get to blurt out these words in the absence of a word to describe what and how you feel towards something that pressures you so much.

These are things like a lazy boss, a stupid overbearing know it all subordinate, a tasteless viand, a transformers toy that you just cannot find, a transformers toy thats just too overpriced, etc. etc.

Transformers toys usually hide behind the chili rojo so they are hard to find...Lolx!

There are hordes of other things that could stress us out and though it may be something we cannot fully control, I'm telling you now to try and move away from them. Why? because not only can stress make you look old, but it also is a portal to a host of health issues... like baldness, bleeding gums (yes even that), eye problems, and many more out of this world health problems you never thought would be related to stress.

I decided to write about this when I looked in the mirror this morning and discovered how I have aged... Damn!
So as a friendly reminder and a stern warning to everyone, try not to focus on the stressful things in life, and focus more on things that relaxes you and make you smile.

Go on, sit back and relax...

If its a person, just avoid contact (iwasan mo na kasi yung tao, wag mo na isipin lalao ka lang maiinis eh!!), a situation, move away from it and so on.

After all, we only got one life, let's not throw it away by thinking too much en route to stressing ourselves too much.

It's healthy to go out and smell the fresh air every now and then!

Less Grrrrrrrrooooooooowwwwwwwllllllllll! and more Yeeeeeeeeehawwwwwwwwww!!! Weeeeeeeee!!!! Yata!!
